Eric is a man who knows firsthand how AIL can help you reach your dreams. “When I came to this Company, I was living in the back of a van; I came from a working-class family that struggled – my father had a stroke, my mother had cancer … we didn’t have much.”

It was only when he walked into an American Income Life office that, “I was given permission to dream.” Eric then surrounded himself with positive, successful people, worked hard, and ultimately, as he says, “this Company afforded me a home and an opportunity to bring out the very best in myself so I could live my best life and then give back … I’m in legacy mode now.”

His career at AIL not only brought him financial success, but the success of knowing he’s made a positive impact across his community through the insurance products his Agency proudly offers.

From living in a van to running an extraordinarily successful Agency, the one thing Eric would’ve done differently is the same advice he offers any career-seekers interested in learning more about AIL: “Think bigger earlier!”

David Ackerman

David Ackerman was enticed to join American Income Life Insurance Company by Opportunity Unlimited. Before becoming a State General Agent in New Jersey he worked in financial journalism as a reporter, editor, and publisher. David even worked in London as a bureau chief for a news team. However, David was looking to own his own business without financial headaches.

Since he joined American Income Life, David has received multiple monthly awards as Top Master General Agent, as well as the $100,000 In Force Award. As Master General Agent, his Agency had a Net Annualized Life Premium (ALP) in excess of $1 million in 2010.

“When you get a call from a family saying thank you because the plan you put in place paid for final expenses or the monthly bills for a struggling family, you appreciate this is a business in which we get to truly help others,” says David. “I live every day to help other people around me grow and enjoy the opportunity as I did.”

David realized that AIL was the Company for him the day his first Agent signed a Supervising Agent contract. David realized he had the ability to not only help people pursue their goals, but doing so would actually help David pursue his goals. “I’d never worked for a company where everyone’s interests lined up like that!”

David is striving toward obtaining his private pilot license. He also loves road trips and exploring new places with his family. David often donates to local police organizations, as well as the American Cancer Society and both the International and American Red Cross.
