Agricultural Workers Mutual Auto Insurance Company began in 1948, in the Fort Worth Stockyards with the vision of William C. Young, a vocational agriculture teacher. Realizing a need to serve and meet the auto insurance needs of agricultural professionals, Mr. Young founded a company based on the premise that each policyholder is a member of the mutual company and each member's safe driving record will help reduce the overall cost of insurance for "all members."

Each year these savings could then be passed back to the membership through an annual dividend. By combining safe drivers, strict underwriting guidelines, quality claim service, solid management, corporate integrity and the support of the industry and communities we serve, Ag Workers has continued to grow yearly, earning an A M Best rating of A- (Excellent) with the unique distinction of paying dividends back to its membership.
