Bizic Education, LLC, was founded by Mim Bizic in order to bring to life, “THE POWER OF THREE,” a wonderful interactive iPad app created for children, parents, teachers, and learners of all ages who desire to delve into the HOTS of Fluency, Flexibility, Divergent Thinking and Mental Imaging skills in a fun way.
Bizic’s story about Johnny, the shy learner turned classroom star, is sure to became an internationally powerful learning tool. Mim had the help of two energetic, talented international colleagues from Bangalore, India working on this project with her.
Ayesha Deane served as the illustrator. Ayesha is the author and illustrator of more than 20 books. She loves this line of work and feels it is a great challenge to her creativity, with fresh ideas always required. Dilip Kumer is the co-founder of GreatMinds Media Solutions, a successful ePublishing Solutions Company. His Engineering degree, 15+ years of technology industry experience, and digital multimedia products development, all helped to create the magic found in this stunning app version of “The Power of Three.”
Milana (Mim) Bizic is a national award-winning teacher with 40+ years of educational experience. Mim taught all grade levels in the elementary school (K-6), including Gifted and School Library classes. In addition, she also taught graduate level classes at Penn State’s Beaver, PA campus for nine years. Upon retirement from the Quaker Valley School District in Sewickley, PA in 2004, Mim also served as a Teaching Supervisor for the University of Pittsburgh’s Master Degree Teaching program.
Mim has served as an Educational Consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Commerce, Apple Computer Co, Scholastic Magazine, and the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum. A national presenter for the U.S. Patent Office, Mim has shared her creative and inventive thinking skills expertise with teachers across the USA. She was also a member of the National Advisory Board of Scholastic’s TEACHING AND COMPUTERS.
Mim’s many awards include Citizen of the Year with Drs. Fusco and Marrone for SewickleyNET 1997; Serbian Unity Congress Award -1995-1996; Who's Who of American Women-1995; National Endowment for the Humanities Awardee-1995;
Pennsylvania's Educational Cultural Ambassador to Japan-1993; Who's Who in American Teaching- 1992; National Science Honoree from the Smithsonian-ASCT1990;
Thanks to Teachers Award (Pitt/Westinghouse/KDKA): 1990 ; Woman of the Year in Sewickley,PA -1987; Apple Computer Club International Awards 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989, and Apple Computer Clubs International HALL OF FAME.
The recipient of many honors on the local, state and national level, Mim earned Proclamations from Pennsylvania Governors Casey and Rendell. She served on Senator Santorum’s Educational Excellence Committee. U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire had her first website entered into the 110 Congressional Record!
Teaching is Mim’s purpose and passion! Watch out! It’s contagious!
