Creative Video was founded by Kirby Whyte in 1981 as a full service video production and post production company. He focused on producing Association and Corporate meetings, as well as special events and visual presentations. Situated on the banks of the Potomac, the business grew quickly and Creative Video soon became a well-respected full service producer in the area. Other producers began using the company to supplement their own productions.

Adding large screen projection, duplication and staging, the business continued to grow and expand. In 2004, Creative Video moved five minutes from its Glebe Road location to its current facility on Spring Hill Road in McLean, Virginia. From the advent of the BETA format, to the current digital age, Creative Video has maintained a steadfast commitment to cutting edge technology and innovation. The company has come a long way from its humble beginnings, now servicing hundreds of clients annually. Despite this large number of customers, Creative Video has continued to provide the personal touch often associated with smaller businesses.
