CRW Engineering Group, LLC (CRW)was established in 1981, by Willem Van Hemert, PE. The founding philosophy of the firm was to become a viable part of the civil and environmental engineering work for in Alaska through excellence in engineering while developing a satisfying work environment. The firm grew from three people to its current size of approximately 60 employees with offices in Anchorage and Palmer, Alaska.
In 2002, the firm reorganized from a sole-proprietorship to a limited liability company; while maintaining the original name of the company. The initial members of the firm included 5 individuals. Since that time an additional 5 members were added, while loosing one. CRW's goal for the next decade is to increase knowledge and capabilities to meet the challenges in our changing marketplace while maintaining a vibrant and positive working environment.
In 1997, CRW added structural engineering services. In 2005, both land surveying and electrical engineering services were added. Then in 2013, mechanical engineering serves were added; allowing CRW to become a full-service Alaskan Land Surveying and Engineering firm. CRW continues to grow to meet the future demands of the greater Alaskan Community while maintaining a 30-plus year commitment to quality and responsiveness to all clients.
