His interest in sports medicine began during his undergrad at Penn State University where he played varsity and club baseball. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency in Johnson City, NY during which he was peer-elected to chief resident. From there, Dr. Day traveled to Virginia Tech and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, to complete his sports medicine fellowship. He worked closely with the Virginia Tech and Radford athletes, taught at the medical school and became involved with their extensive helmet research and concussion management, publishing articles and giving several lectures on the topic.

After his fellowship, Dr. Day practiced at the Greenbrier Medical Institute in West Virginia doing primary care sports medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, concussion management and manipulative therapy. He was responsible for medical coverage for the PGA, professional tennis events, and local high school athletes. He continues to participate in medical coverage for the U.S. Olympic Ski and Snowboard team.

Dr. Day specializes in concussion management, manipulative medicine and non-surgical approaches for orthopaedic and musculoskeletal problems and injuries. He also has experience in advanced treatments such as diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound and regenerative medicine injections.
