Divergence Academy is a new trade school for the new silicon economy in the state of Texas that offers 12-weeks, 420-hour pragmatic hands-on learning experiences in the fields of Data Science, Data Engineering and Web Development. The goal of the academy is to prepare and transition over 3000 individuals by end of year 2018 into the technology field.

Industry has recognized that a Data Scientist is better at statistics than a software engineer and better at software engineering than a statistician. The Divergence Academy's instruction and learning models will focus on multidisciplinary thinking and problem-solving techniques through blending of science (stats and math) and software engineering disciplines to assist students develop data products.
