She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1998. Next, Dr. Chandrasekhara completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Allegheny
University Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Then, she returned back home to Houston to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2000-2003 at the University of Texas in Houston.
Dr. Chandrasekhara is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society. She is also a member of the Texas Indian Physicians as well as the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin. She has performed many presentations around the country, with several publications throughout her career. Dr. Chandrasekhara loves to travel, swim, and cook in her free time, as well as photographing her children.
