As a lifelong woodworker, I have been making gun grips by hand for many years. I make grips for the full and compact size1911s and for the Sig Sauer P238 and Sig Sauer p938. I also make grips for the Browning 1911-22, the Beretta 92fs and 96fs and the latest being Les Baer full size 1911 grips. A lot of handwork is done in the making of the grips. I strive to find woods with nice figure in them and really make it show in the final product.

The woods I mostly use are Birds Eye Maple, Cocobolo, Tiger Stripe Maple, Mahogany, Walnut, and all kinds of hardwood burls. I have also got into Mammoth Ivory and Rams Horn. The selection of woods and exotic materials continue to grow.

I enjoy making the grips but what I like even more is finishing them. I have many finishing techniques to bring out the high figure in the grips. I offer the grips in a smooth or checkered finish.
