I & I Tile was founded in 2004. We are a company that specializes in tile for residential and commercial projects. Our company was founded on three principles: pride, quality, and integrity. We are all knowledgeable, friendly and courteous; moreover, most of the installers have been with our company since its inception. Our company motto "We do what we say, when we say" is precisely why we are still in business to this day.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Lewis McElroy, the president of this company. I was drawn to this industry because of the aesthetics of the finished products and the engineering behind tile and natural stone installations. I found through my 20 years of experience in construction, a great tile job can make or break a project and is an awesome finishing touch to any room. I wanted to make sure that I incorporated my personal beliefs in quality, attention to detail, workmanship, and integrity; while focusing my attentions to craftsmanship and my ability to stay on schedule. We meld together an extensive knowledge on preparation, installation, construction (both residential and commercial), tile, and natural stones with pride in our work, creating a quality product, and honoring our commitments.

We start our projects with an initial consultation, whether by phone, e-mail or in person with the clients. During this initial consultation, a clear plan is provided of the next steps clients have to make. For commercial projects, the initial consultation is when specifications by the architects with jobsite conditions and job scopes are discussed, and plans are reviewed. In residential projects, the consultation is where a clear plan is developed to establish the scope of work and assist the client in determining their design and selections. We have established an extensive network of designers, and sales associates throughout multiple vendors in the Washington Metropolitan area that can assist our residential customers in their selection and design process.

After the job scope has been clearly defined; a site inspection will be arranged with the client. The inspection will take place at the job site and is necessary to give a firm estimate. During the field inspection the preexisting conditions will be determined; and any concerns or issues will be discussed with the client. Once the estimate is approved, a firm installation start and completion date is provided. During the installation, walkways from the entrance to the area being worked are protected.
