We have some very exciting news to share with all of our merchants and partners. We have officially changed our name from Marathon Processing Systems, Inc. to BASYS Processing, Inc., effective November 1, 2010. Several reasons play into why we decided to make this change. We want a unique name, that no one else in the industry has, that stands out and says a little more about what we do. BASYS, short for Banking Systems, does that for us. It's also a great play on the financial term, "Basis" Point, where the individual smaller pieces can add up to make a big difference!

This new name reinforces our philosophy that it is individuals who make a company great, whether big or small, and that it is not all about the biggest companies who claim to be the best. We have such a great reputation that we feel we deserve a unique name that people will remember, and that we can build our marketing and image around, while still continuing to build upon the foundation we established as Marathon Processing Systems.
