Matern Professional Engineering, Inc. (MPE) is one of the largest mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, energy and commissioning engineering service firms in Florida. MPE has offices in Maitland, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, and Tampa. We have been providing professional engineering services throughout an expanded area of Florida since 1984.

MPE has provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, energy and commissioning engineering services for new construction, renovations, design/builds, retrofits, expansions and upgrades for facilities throughout the State of Florida. Our firm has gathered an extensive list of projects ranging from minor continuing service projects under $1 million to multiple-phased large scale prominent landmark buildings. With experience in over 50 different municipalities, school districts and universities in the State of Florida, our staff has a keen understanding of Florida Building Codes and City Ordinances.

In addition to Florida, MPE is authorized to perform engineering services in Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

MPE has extensive knowledge in energy and life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) studies.

We have performed LCCA studies for over 40 government agencies throughout the state for a variety of projects. We also perform master planning and building system evaluations for various clients and believe this to be a critical step before starting any project. Understanding the full scope, phasing, budget and limits of the project are imperative to a successful design and construction process.

We are proud that our designs consistently result in a reduction of our client's capital outlay, either through first cost or operational costs. We have implemented systems such as Thermal Storage, photovoltaics/solar, geothermal and lighting upgrades which has resulted in substantial savings for our clients.
