About MicroRidge
MicroRidge has been listening to its customers for nearly three decades. The approach has become a core business philosophy which uses customer feedback in combination with flexibility and technology advances to lead the industry in wired and wireless interface and networked data acquisition solutions. We continue to develop our measurement collection technology with the goal of helping our customers reduce costs, increase production and achieve focused, real time results for growth.
MicroRidge was founded in 1983 by John Schuldt, President, and has built its reputation by developing and marketing microcomputer-based industrial software systems for statistical process control in lumber manufacturing to assist in lumber recovery efforts. MicroRidge introduced the first portable lumber size control system to the timber industry and in 1988 introduced the first gage interface to the general manufacturing market. This early GageWay interface was a simple connection for Mitutoyo gages to a serial port on the PC.
Today, MicroRidge has a suite of products designed to support tailored solutions. Our 1st generation GageWay Wireless was introduced in 1996 and has led to the May 2010 introduction of the 3rd generation wireless - MobileCollect. These wireless systems work on the factory floor, in the lab or anywhere an individual needs to connect digital gages and RS-232 devices to a computer without the use of cables. GageWay interfaces directly link single or multiple gages and serial devices using RS-232, USB or network connections. Real-time data can be fed into Excel using our WedgeLink family of hardware and software keyboard wedges.
MicroRidge continues to listen to the needs of customers and the marketplace, incorporate the latest technology, and expand its wired and wireless RS-232 and network data acquisition solutions to provide a broad range of wired and wireless interface solutions. Our customers range from the 2-person shop through the Fortune 100. We focus our efforts on "Measurement Collection Technology for Today & Tomorrow!" What this means to our customers is more flexible, cost effective and configurable measurement collection solutions. We continue to serve 2 distinct markets with measurement collection products: LSIZE Wireless for lumber quality control in the sawmill and our MobileCollect, GageWay and WedgeLink products for measurement collection in general manufacturing.
