om Moraca was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, where he was first introduced to the construction industry by his grandfather. At the early age of 16, Tom began working for Gilbert and Byrd, a large concrete masonry contractor. This is where he developed a strong foundation and love for construction.

He continued to improve his skills while working for Gilbert and Byrd, eventually leaving for the University of Florida, as a skilled carpenter. In 2001, Tom graduated with honors from the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction, learning not only construction management in his classes but also practicing his technical skills in the field. Tom worked for different home builders throughout his college career in order to pay for his schooling as well as gaining hands on experience.

In 2002, Tom was accepted into University of Florida’s Warrington School of Business, where he studied for his Masters in Business Real Estate, Development, and Finance. In 2003, Tom moved to Boca Raton, where he worked with a local commercial contractor, successfully managing multi-million dollar projects. Tom decided to fulfill his dream in 2005, when Moraca Builders was born. We have successfully completed numerous jobs for companies such as Rosemurgy Properties, Hilton Hotel, Fed-Ex Kinkos, Mattress Firm, Orthopedic Centers of South Florida, Trans-Atlantic Investments, and Dunkin Donuts, to name a few. Moraca Builders is a firm that prides itself on doing it better than the next. We differentiate ourselves by getting the job done more efficiently in terms of cost, time and cleanliness. We strive to preserve the loss art of general contracting. Unlike many GCs today, Moraca Builders self performs much of their work, including interior and exterior framing and drywall systems, installation of doors and hardware, acoustical ceilings as well as specialties in division ten.
