Company history:



OCSS, LLC formerly 'Lake County Surgical Services, LLC', was founded in February of 2003 by Ronnell Showell, owner and CEO. Since its humble beginnings the team of non-physician surgical service assistants has grown in experience, stature, and reputation under the guidance and leadership of their CEO; amassing a combined total of 80 years of professional health care and medical experience. The company began servicing the Lake County community and has since grown to encompass major hospital systems nationwide. Mr. Showell received most of his initial training and exposure during his 12 years of service to the United States Navy. It was here he he assembled his toolkit of skills forged in honor, excellence and integrity.



After being honorable discharged from the military service he received additional education and training to obtain his registered/certification credentials.



Mr. Showell credits the Navy with great kudos, because it instilled in him the philosophy of "see one-do one-teach one". The process and procedure of this comprehensive educational training and exposure gave him insights, and planted the seeds of entrepreneurship which paved the way for the idea to start his own business.

About Us:



OCSS is certified as SBA 8(A), SDB, MBE and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Which provides Healthcare staffing to include: surgical assistants, CRNA's, registered nurses, surgical technicians, and medical doctor. In addition, we have launched our new health information team and open our roads to provide medical/dental equipment and supplies.



The primary focus of OCSS is to deliver professional quality service to our partners & clients. We are here to assist the Hospital, Universities, Surgeons and the rest of the medical community with affordable healthcare, and to provide the best optimal care for patients. We are here to service all grants, contracts, or projects with the needed medical/dental lab supplies.



Our team members hold the proper credentials to preform their craft with any equivaction. We are Board Nationally Certified, Illinois State Registered, highly experienced and trained to performed the duties called before us. We are trained to assist Surgeons with an array of major surgical procedures and we work as team players within profession. We are fully aware of our mission to aid medical facilities in accomplishing their respective missions.



OCSS understands that every partner is searching for tangible savings. Our services provide overall value which distributes real cost savings to your Medical Facility, Surgeon practices and the patients by utilizing our services. We are a small business which provides healthcare staffing as contractors versus needlessly utilizing full time employee(FTE) staffing of ie; Surgical Assistants/Technicians. We are known as a Just-In-Time commodity (JIT), readily available on a 24 hour/365 day basis. OCSS' services allow medical facilities to save thousands of dollars monthly, annually, and long term within the Operating Room Theater. Partnering with OCSS allows all of our clients an opportunity to enhance their diversity programs because we enlist an array of qualified backgrounds. Our successful track record of performance is attributed to a team of very knowledgeable and well educated professionals within the medical industry. We are OCSS!
