RBC Incorporated, is an information management and engineering management company recognized as an industry leader in the development of innovative solutions and approaches for the acquisition, development and support of complex computer based systems. From its beginning in 1975, RBC has grown into a diversified organization offering solutions to problems encountered in systems planning, design and development, cost analysis, program management, business and process re-engineering. The company's name is derived from the initials of Mr. Rowland Bell, one of RBC's founders and current owner. Mr. Bell continues as RBC's President and CEO.
In 1990, RBC acquired Cost Engineering Research, Incorporated (CERi), an Alexandria, Virginia firm specializing in cost estimating, analysis, and forecasting, the development of cost models, and program management services.
RBC provides its systems management and technical services to government and industry at all levels of management and in many technology areas. RBC's first contract was with the Department of the Navy to provide engineering management support to the Naval Air Systems Command for the acquisition and development of the P-3 aircraft weapon systems. Further support and development of new versions of the P-3 for the Naval Air Systems Command led to contracts for providing acquisition management, software requirements definition, systems engineering, and Foreign Military Sales support services.
In 1982, RBC began a period of rapid expansion and diversification into new business areas. The company has grown from a strong base of engineers and managers concerned with major weapons system acquisition problems into a technically diversified organization that supports government and industrial clients from five operational sites in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. RBC has evolved into a systems engineering/management firm that is well known for high quality work and a customer orientation.
In September of 2000, the Information Systems Division reorganized, and was officially renamed TechnoLogic Small Business Solutions. This new name was part of a new marketing campaign, business model, and philosophy within the Division. TechnoLogic Small Business Solutions is a technical services contractor. They are primarily a business-to-business service provider. They provide the full range of information technology services. These services include: network engineering and support, database development, web site design, and domain hosting. They have a growing list of customers in the D.C. Metro area.
Thus, RBC continues to evolve into a systems engineering and systems management firm which has become well known for high quality work processes and its unique customer orientation.
