Dr. Saad Ahmad was born and raised in Chicago, and attended college at Duke University. Following college, he obtained his medical degree from the top-ranked Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. After medical school, Dr. Ahmad moved back home to Chicago to complete his general medical training at the prestigious University of Chicago Hospitals. Subsequently, he returned to Duke to complete his ophthalmology training. Dr. Ahmad later went on to train in advanced retinal surgery techniques at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan where he treated some of the most complex retina l cases in the world.
