SBT PRO MACHINE has manufactured Injection Molding Dies for MacArtney Underwater Technologies, Cable Molding and Encapsulation Workshop. These parts and there solid models can be seen on the parts page of our web site. We utilized Part Program Verification Software along with "Advanced Ghosting" Techniques. This defers from "Conventional Ghosting" in that Conventional Ghosting requires a skilled machine operator to first prove the program. Ghosting is an extremely cost effective tool and also produces a cosmetically superior part because machining cycle time becomes a secondary issue. Ghosting refers to having no operator at the machine.
A couple of points that may not be apparent on our website is, our 4-Axis Vertical Mill, with 40 in. of X-travel is capable of radially machining parts in excess of 2 ft. long, and our Lathe was upgraded to a 10 in. Power Chuck at purchase to accommodate larger parts.
We have manufactured various oil field parts as a sub-tier supplier to Romtex Enterprises Inc.
High Feed Milling is where the lead cutting angle is declined into the work piece directing the cutting forces longitudinally up through the spindle. As a result a less rigid machining set up is required.
