She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at USC/LAC Medical Center, after which she did her residency in Ophthalmology at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Semel is board certified and fellowship trained in ophthalmology and has a license to practice in the state of California. She’s an active member of many prestigious societies, including:

Today, Dr. Semel is the official ophthalmologist of the Los Angeles Kings, treating some of the best hockey players in the world. The head physician at Semel Vision Care and Aesthetics, she helps people from El Segundo & Manhattan Beach, California, as well as the greater Los Angeles area, maintain their eye health and enhance their appearance. She enjoys research and publishes her findings in several journals in the field of ophthalmology.
