SGB Consultants, LLC, is a Chicago-based consulting firm providing assistance in medical education and accreditation to medical schools and teaching hospitals. SGB was established in 2008. The firm's partners, Leslie J. Sandlow, MD and Philip G. Bashook, EdD have more than 80 years of combined experience in medical education. We bring a comprehensive approach to assist medical schools, hospitals, and individual residency programs on all facets of their educational needs. We also provide assistance to dental schools, allied health programs, and programs that cut across health professions.

Individually and as a firm we have consulted for clients throughout the United States, Canada, and more than two dozen other countries. In addition to the three principal partners, our firm has highly experienced associates with specialized skills in health professions education. Our associates' in-depth expertise cover assessment of clinical performance skills, distance education, management of medical staff in academic centers, creating curricula for multi-cultural and cross-cultural training, computerized models for planning, design of specialized instructional methods, designing and operating student admissions, and much more.
