My career started in youth ministry and I served a church for 7.5 years! In that time I got married, had 2 wild and crazy boys, and purchased a new home. Eventually, I felt it was time to make a change.
During my time at the church I discovered that I loved to use my creativity not just to do Youth Ministry and music, but also to build things. I started woodworking, building furniture, shelves, and home decor, and took on an apprenticeship with a local artisan to really hone my skills. All the while, I kept thinking that a career in Real Estate would be a perfect intersection of all the things I love to do.
Since taking that plunge into becoming a Realtor, I am positive that it was the right choice Not only do I get to work with and help people at a critical point in their lives, buying a new home, but I also get to use my construction skills and creativity to envision what spaces can be and figure out how to make it happen.
Maybe the glue that binds all this together is that I am driven and determined. I was driven to learn a new craft and I succeeded in creating a small woodworking business out of my garage (shout out to @ColwellCustoms), and now I’m driven to provide the best service to my clients that a real estate agent can.
