The Jimmy Potters Workshop is an afterschool enrichment program that allows kids, ages K-6, a creative outlet by using clay to hand- build projects that are designed to be both rewarding and functional. Our motto of having "no mistakes in pottery" creates an environment of fun and flexibility, and in the end kids will leave with unique projects and a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Jimmy Ba?ia started the Jimmy Potters Workshop in 2005 from humble beginnings in his home garage. The first school he taught pottery at was a small daycare called the Peter Pan school in Richmond, VA. The program has since grown to become a leading after-school enrichment class in the Northern Virginia/Maryland area. His goals in creating the workshop were to give kids a hands-on, fun, clay experience where they could feel free to express themselves through the medium. The projects this workshop focuses on incorporate imagination as well as building blocks to the study of ceramics. It is important to our workshop that children leave with both a sense of pride and a new skill-set they can apply not only in pottery but in other aspects of play as well.
